Senior Software Developer (HU)

The Senior Software Developer is responsible for developing Omixon’s gene analysis software: HLA Twin and NanoTYPER, which are used before transplant surgery and can analyze genomic data from the most complicated part of the human genome.
Responsibilities:
- Developing the following: Standalone Java applications, CI/CD tools, Bioinformatics tools, Data visualization, Performance critical algorithms
- Ownership of specific software components and managing their life cycle
- Supporting the development team in algorithm research and development
- Adhere to quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Java 17+ development experience
- Strong OOP skills
- Ability to write clean code
- Agile mindset
- Spring Boot and SQL skills
- Self-motivated, works well with minimal supervision
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
Advantageous Skills:
- Degree in technology/biology/computer science/bioinformatics
- Knowledge of genetics or biology
- Familiarity with NGS analysis software
- Experience with Linux, Jira, Confluence, Git
