Werfen acquires Omixon

Barcelona, Spain, October 16, 2024.- Werfen announced today that it has completed the acquisition of Omixon after obtaining all necessary regulatory and antitrust approvals.
Omixon is a privately held company based in Budapest, Hungary, focused on the development and commercialization of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technol-ogies in transplant diagnostics. The acquisition expands Werfen’s portfolio of trans-plant diagnostics solutions for hospitals and clinical laboratories.

The purchase price was approximately US$25 million and was funded with cash on hand.
