We spent amazing days at the recent Bio IT World Conference and we thought we would share a few thoughts, photos and videos with you. Here is the summary of days -2, -1 and 1.
After having some rest at our hotel on Sunday, the next day we went into a kind of meeting tour to talk to our partners and customers. It is always better to do a short trip if we are in Boston, always better to talk in person to people. Attila, our CEO, joined our team a day before, so four of us, like a little army, left the hotel and started a long but very exciting meeting. We began the day at the office of one of our partners, had some very fruitful conversations and agreed on next steps.
After these, we met Susanna who was going to be our help at the booth during the conference. We arranged our meeting to MIT, and it was very inspiring for all of us.
And the first day of the conference has come. Before going to the conference venue to the World Trade Center in Boston, we still had some meetings. As we are focusing on clinical applications, transplantations and HLA typing from NGS data it was very interesting to talk to clinicians in Boston. We have learned a lot about their needs and we were happy that our solution could help them during the daily routine. That’s what we worked for so hard until now.
During the afternoon we were preparing our booth, collecting marketing materials and preparing ourselves mentally for the show. All of us were excited. And then we had an unexpectedly huge amount of people coming to our booth. The first evening of the exhibition was supposed to be more silent, but this time it was not like that. We were having continuously new faces, potential customers and old friends talking with us.
After having a very satisfying but exhausting first day, we went to have dinner with our Japanese friends. At the restaurant we had great fun together, continuous laughing and very nice dishes. It was nice to compare our cultural differences and similarities, as well, that led to a fantastic evening we spent together. You can find some pictures and videos below.
